Kupla

Published by Oulun sarjakuvaseura from 1981 to 1984, Kupla was a twelve-issue Finnish comic series that served as a vital showcase for the country's emerging alternative cartoonists. Most frequently featuring the work of Jope Pitkänen, Pentti Otsamo, and Jari Elsilä as writers, with Pitkänen, Otsamo, and Pentti Nuortimo leading the art, the series captured a raw, experimental energy distinct from mainstream fare.
