From 1975 to 1981, Bastei Verlag published 155 issues of Kung-Fu, a German comic series that blended martial-arts action with photo-illustrated storytelling. The series was most frequently written by Herbert Ebner, G. Pütz, and Heiner Boeck, while its distinctive visual style relied on photographic covers and interior art, with E. Schöbitz among the credited artists. A unique entry in European genre comics, Kung-Fu captured the mid-70s kung-fu craze through a gritty, real-world lens rather than traditional drawn panels.
