Koolau le Lépreux

In 2004, Mosquito published a single-issue comic, Koolau le Lépreux, which adapts the true story of Koolau, a Hawaiian leprosy patient who resisted forced exile to the island of Molokai. This French graphic novel offers a poignant, historically grounded narrative about defiance and humanity in the face of disease and colonial authority.
