About the series
In 1963 and 1964, Charlton Comics unleashed the giant gorilla Konga in his own short-lived series, Konga's Revenge. Running just two issues, the book paired writer Joe Gill with artists Bill Montes and a young Steve Ditko, who brought their distinct styles to the monster's rampages. Though brief, the series stands as a curious footnote in Ditko's early career, showcasing his work on a classic creature feature before his legendary turn at Marvel.
