Kobane Calling: Greeting from Northern Syria

In 2017, Lion Forge published this single-issue comic documenting the experiences of Italian artist Zerocalcare in the embattled city of Kobane, Syria. A work of graphic journalism, it offers a firsthand, on-the-ground perspective of the Kurdish-led resistance against ISIS, rendered in the creator's signature accessible, cartoony style.
