In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Polish publisher Sport i Turystyka released Klasyka przygodowa, a short-lived comic series of just three issues that adapted classic adventure literature into sequential art. The series was primarily written by Stefan Weinfeld and illustrated by the artistic duo of Andrzej Chyży and Zdzisław Byczek, bringing a distinctly Polish comic sensibility to timeless tales.
