Kitaro

A modern revival of the classic Japanese ghost story series, Kitaro (2023–present) from Drawn & Quarterly collects the foundational mid-1960s adventures of the yokai boy and his spooky allies. Originally created by Shigeru Mizuki, this edition presents the earliest tales of Kitaro's battles against malevolent spirits and his friendship with the human boy Nezumi Otoko. As the first volume of a new English-language reprint, it reintroduces a landmark of manga and folklore to a contemporary audience.
