In the early 2000s, the German publisher CCH - Comic Club Hannover revived the classic Italian Western hero Kinowa for a new 36-issue series. Under the guidance of writer Karin Bleinroth and artist Bernhard Maas, alongside the foundational work of the legendary EsseGesse studio, this run continued the adventures of the mysterious, mask-wearing gunslinger in a stark frontier setting. It stands as a dedicated, cult-favorite homage to the original Italian fumetti, bridging the character's pulp past with a modern European comics sensibility.
