King la Jungle

In the early 1960s, Éditions des Remparts brought readers King la Jungle, a 21-issue series that delivered classic jungle adventure in the tradition of Tarzan. The title character, a white king ruling an African jungle, fought wild beasts and hostile tribes across untamed landscapes. While the series is less remembered today, it stands as a vivid example of the French "bande dessinée" industry's appetite for exotic adventure stories during that era.
