About the series
Wim Meuldijk, the creator of the popular Dutch comic Sjors en Sjimmie, brought his signature clean, adventurous style to this short-lived series for Skarabee. Published across just three issues from 1973 to 1974, Ketelbinkie follows the exploits of its young sailor protagonist in a lighthearted, family-friendly adventure strip. Though brief, the series is a neat example of Meuldijk’s solo work outside his more famous franchise.
