Kerry Drake

Alfred Andriola’s newspaper strip detective, Kerry Drake, made a brief two-issue leap into comic-book form in 1956 under Argo Publications. Written and drawn by Andriola himself, these comics brought the tough, methodical private eye to a new format, offering a snapshot of mid-century crime storytelling. Though the series was short-lived, it remains a curious artifact of a popular strip’s attempt to cross into periodical comics.
