Katholieke illustratie

From 1910 to 1967, De Spaarnestad published Katholieke Illustratie, a Dutch Catholic comic series spanning 23 issues that blended faith with visual storytelling. Primarily associated with its era's devotional and educational tone, it served as a moral and cultural guide for its readership through illustrated narratives. Though modest in length, the series matters as a distinctive example of how comics were used to reinforce religious values in early-to-mid 20th-century European publishing.
