Karl-Alfreds äventyr is a Swedish comic series launched by Elanders bokförlag in 1934, notable as an early European adaptation of the American newspaper strip Bringing Up Father. Though the series has continued in some form to the present day, its initial single issue from 1934 introduced the beloved character of Karl-Alfred, the Swedish name for the iconic comic strip patriarch Jiggs. The series stands as a key piece of Swedish comic history, marking one of the first licensed translations of a major American strip for a Scandinavian audience.
