Kaput & Zösky

Since 2004, Reprodukt has published the ongoing adventures of two hapless alien explorers, Kaput & Zösky, a creation of French cartoonist Lewis Trondheim, who both writes and draws the series with occasional scripting help from Kai Wilksen. The strip follows the duo's bumbling, often disastrous attempts to conquer or exploit planets across the galaxy, with their schemes invariably backfiring in clever, slapstick fashion. Trondheim's signature loose, expressive linework and deadpan humor give the series a charming, timeless feel, making it a standout in the European tradition of absurdist science-fiction comedy.
