Kaijumax

Kaijumax, a six-issue miniseries from Oni Press (2015–2016), is the brainchild of writer/artist Zander Cannon. It reimagines classic giant monsters as inmates in a maximum-security prison, blending kaiju spectacle with the gritty, bureaucratic absurdity of a correctional facility. The series stands out for its inventive world-building and darkly humorous take on the genre, treating its colossal characters with both pathos and punchy action.
