Justice Traps the Guilty

Thorpe & Porter · 1957–1958 · 15 issues
About the series

A short-lived crime comic from the tail end of the 1950s, Justice Traps the Guilty was published by Thorpe & Porter as a British reprint title, collecting American crime and suspense stories from the previous decade. The series is most associated with the moody, shadow-drenched artwork of Marvin Stein and Bill Molno, who brought a hard-boiled visual edge to tales of cops, crooks, and comeuppance. Though it ran for just 15 issues, this series offers a compact snapshot of the gritty pre-Code crime genre, filtered through a British reprint lens.
