Jungle Jim

In the mid-1960s, Yaffa/Page revived the classic newspaper strip hero for a 12-issue Australian comic series, Jungle Jim. Under the steady hand of writer Paul S. Newman and artists Don Trachte, Frank Thorne, and Ralph Mayo, the jungle lord faced lost tribes and treacherous ruins, continuing the character's pulp adventure tradition. While a minor entry in the character's history, it stands as a distinct, self-contained run that showcased the work of reliable Silver Age craftsmen.
