Jungle Jim

Jungle Jim, published by Calvert from 1955 to 1960, ran for 22 issues of untamed, mid-century adventure. Most frequently illustrated by artist Monty Wedd, the series follows the exploits of its rugged, globe-trotting protagonist through dense, perilous environments. A classic example of the jungle adventure genre that thrived in the 1950s, the series offers a snapshot of the era's pulp-inspired storytelling and artistic style.
