Julie Wood

Jean Graton, best known for his racing series Michel Vaillant, created this short-lived series for the European market. Published by Oberon and Dargaud Benelux from 1976 to 1979, Julie Wood ran for just five issues, focusing on a new protagonist outside the world of motorsport. While it remains a lesser-known work compared to Graton’s flagship series, it showcases his clean ligne claire style and narrative range during a fertile period of 1970s Franco-Belgian comics.
