About the series
In the early 1990s, Planeta DeAgostini published Juego Mortal, a nine-issue miniseries that brought a distinctive Spanish sensibility to the crime-thriller genre. The series is best remembered for the taut, cinematic storytelling of writer and artist Alfonso Font, whose moody, detailed linework gave the narrative a gritty European noir atmosphere. Following a deadly game of cat and mouse, it stands as a notable example of Spanish mature-readers comics from the period, showcasing Font's mastery of suspense and shadow-drenched visuals.
