Johan och Pellevins äventyr

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Swedish publisher Carlsen/if brought Johan and Pellevin to life in their own series, collecting the medieval adventures of the young page and his mischievous friend. Crafted primarily by Peyo, the creator of the Smurfs, these 14 issues blend chivalric quests with gentle fantasy and humor. While Ingrid Emond contributed to the writing, Peyo’s distinctive, warm artwork defines the series’ classic European comic-book charm. It stands as a key Swedish-language showcase of Peyo’s pre-Smurf storytelling, offering a lighter, more grounded take on the adventures that later evolved into the world of the little blue characters.
