This continuation stays true to the lighter, whimsical tone of the original, following the brave young page Johan and his mischievous dwarf companion Pirlouit through new adventures in a timeless kingdom. While the series is best known as the setting that introduced the Smurfs, this later iteration stands as a pure, unvarnished return to the source material for longtime fans.
