Jochen und Klaus in Afrika

From 1996 to 1999, the German small-press series Jochen und Klaus in Afrika ran for twenty issues through CCH - Comic Club Hannover, chronicling the titular duo's adventures on the continent. Anchored by the consistent art of Jochen Fortmann, the series offered a quirky, self-published blend of humor and exploration that captured the spirit of 1990s European indie comics. Its modest run remains a fondly remembered artifact of the Hannover comics scene.
