Jim de la Selva

In 1966, Chilean publisher Editorial Lord Cochrane launched Jim de la Selva, a 18-issue series that brought jungle adventure to Latin American newsstands. The title character, a rugged white hunter navigating exotic landscapes, was the creation of a local creative team that defined the book's pulp-inspired tone. Though its run was brief, the series stands as a distinctive example of 1960s Chilean comics, capturing a moment when domestic publishers produced original action-adventure material rather than simply reprinting foreign imports.
