About the series
In the early 1950s, Fiction House launched this short-lived but energetic four-issue series, a high-flying adventure comic centered on aerial combat and jet-age heroics. Most frequently written by A. E. Carruthers and illustrated by a team including Bill Discount, A. Albert, and a young Dick Dillin, Jet Aces delivered the publisher's signature blend of action and pulp-style storytelling. Though it lasted only from 1952 to 1953, the series stands as a vivid snapshot of the era's fascination with modern aviation and the final years of the golden-age comic boom.
