Jerry Spring

Over eight years, the Danish publisher Interpresse released just two issues of Jerry Spring, a comic series starring the eponymous cowboy hero. The series is most closely associated with legendary Belgian artist Jijé, who handled the primary artwork, while writers Philip, John Jørgensen, and Tonny Lützer contributed scripts. Though brief, this run matters as a Danish-language continuation of a classic European western comic, bringing Jijé’s dynamic, expressive style to a new readership.
