Jerônimo - O Herói do Sertão

A compact two-issue series from Editora Bloch, Jerônimo - O Herói do Sertão (1979–present) adapts the popular Brazilian radio and television character into comics form. The strip follows the adventures of a heroic cowboy figure in the Brazilian backlands, blending Western tropes with regional folklore. Though brief, it represents an early attempt to translate a beloved multimedia icon into sequential art during the late 1970s.
