J-pop bálvány is a brief two-issue comic from Mangattack, published in 2008–2009, that explores the world of Japanese pop idol culture. The series, associated with creator Shoko Taniguchi, offers a glimpse into the pressures and glamour of the idol industry through a manga-influenced lens. Though short-lived, it captures a niche intersection of Western and Eastern pop-culture storytelling.
