About the series
Ispettore Wade, published by Nerbini in 1937–1938, was a brief two-issue Italian comic series based on the popular British crime novelist Edgar Wallace's character, with scripting contributions from American writer Sheldon Stark. The art, handled by Lyman Anderson, brought the detective's investigations to life in a moody, pulpy style. Though short-lived, the series represents an early cross-cultural adaptation of Wallace's work into the comics medium.
