In 2020, Carlsen Comics revived the classic German translation of the beloved French comic Iznogoud, rebranding it as Isnogud for a five-issue run. Featuring the distinctive artwork of series co-creator Jean Tabary, these stories follow the Grand Vizier's relentless, and always unsuccessful, schemes to become caliph instead of the caliph. This collection re-presents a foundational work of European humor comics, keeping Tabary's timeless visual gags and René Goscinny's sharp satire accessible to a new generation of readers.
