Mark Waid and artist Leinil Francis Yu reimagined the Hulk for Marvel’s 2013 relaunch, turning Bruce Banner into a scientific problem-solver who works for S.H.I.E.L.D. in exchange for resources to cure his condition. This 20-issue series, also published in Spanish by Editorial Televisa, balances high-stakes espionage with Banner’s relentless intellect, as he leads a team of young geniuses while unleashing the Hulk on threats too big for conventional heroes. Waid’s run grounds the character in a tense, pragmatic partnership with the world’s spy agency, offering a fresh take on the classic monster-as-weapon dynamic.
