Images d'Épinal BD

A brief, two-issue comic series from 1983-1984, Images d'Épinal BD was published by the historic French firm Imagerie Pellerin. The series is most notably associated with the celebrated cartoonist Fred, who brought his distinctive, whimsical style to this short-lived project. It stands as a curious, late-era experiment in blending the classic, folk-art imagery of the famous Épinal prints with the modern comic strip form.
