Image Firsts: The Humans

Set in a 1970s where sentient apes have replaced humans as the dominant species, The Humans follows a biker gang of chimpanzees as they navigate a world of violence, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. This Image Comics series, launched in 2015, is the brainchild of writer Keenan Marshall Keller and artist Tom Neely, who blend gritty exploitation-film aesthetics with a surreal, primate-centric twist.
