Ikkyu

In 2003–2004, Vents d'Ouest published Ikkyu, a six-issue comic series illustrated by Hisashi Sakaguchi. The series explores the life of the legendary 15th-century Zen Buddhist monk and poet Ikkyu Sojun, blending historical drama with spiritual reflection. Sakaguchi's distinctive artwork brings a contemplative, lyrical quality to this concise biographical portrait.
