A compact, unsettling French series from Hachette, Idées noires (2015–present) collects the morbidly humorous, single-page black-and-white cartoons originally published in the 1970s and 1980s. Created by the legendary Franquin—best known for his work on Spirou et Fantasio and Gaston—this collection showcases his dark, satirical side, featuring grimly funny vignettes of violence, absurdity, and gallows humor.
