Icarus

In the late 1980s, Aircel Publishing launched Icarus, a six-issue comic series that blends fantasy and science fiction. Written by Don Lanouette, Barry Blair, and Dave Cooper—who also provided the distinctive, surreal artwork—the series follows a young woman's journey through a bizarre, dreamlike world. Though short-lived, Icarus stands out as an early showcase for Cooper's unique, cartoonish style and remains a cult oddity from the independent comics boom of the era.
