Ibis the Invincible

In 1950, Arnold Book Company launched Ibis the Invincible, a single-issue comic starring a powerful magician hero. Written by Bill Woolfolk with art by Gus Ricca, this brief, self-contained story introduced Ibis as a master of mystic arts battling supernatural threats. Though it never continued beyond that one issue, the character remains a curious footnote from the early days of the postwar comic boom.
