About the series
In 2001, DC Comics released the single-issue I, Paparazzi, a satirical one-shot written by Pat McGreal with painted art by Stephen John Phillips and Steven Parke. This standalone story skewers celebrity culture through the eyes of a ruthless photographer, using its lush, photo-realistic visuals to heighten the cynical glamour of its Hollywood setting. Though it never continued beyond that debut, the issue remains a pointed, visually striking commentary on fame and exploitation from the turn of the millennium.
