About the series
In the early 2000s, Studio Ironcat brought the Japanese manga Hyper Dolls to American audiences, a sci-fi comedy series running five issues. The story follows two seemingly ordinary high school girls who secretly transform into giant, superheroic beings to defend Earth from monstrous threats. Known for its blend of slapstick humor and tokusatsu-style action, this short-lived series offered a lighthearted, quirky take on the secret-identity genre.
