About the series

In this 2009–2011 Marvel miniseries, writer Jeph Loeb and artists Ed McGuinness and Art Adams pitted the newly transformed Red Hulk against a gauntlet of gamma-powered heavyweights, including She-Hulk, Doc Samson, and Bruce Banner himself. The six-issue run deepened the mystery of who lurked beneath the Red Hulk's crimson hide—eventually revealed to be General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross—while delivering the oversized, explosive brawls that defined the era. A key piece of the post-"World War Hulk" landscape, it reframed Ross as a volatile, rage-fueled antagonist, setting the stage for his own conflicted legacy in Marvel's Hulk mythology.
