Hopalong Cassidy

In the 1950s, Swedish publisher Sefyrforlaget brought the iconic Western hero Hopalong Cassidy to comic form, running for 18 issues from 1953 onward. The series primarily featured the artwork of Harry Hanan and George Camitz, with Hanan also contributing as a writer alongside an uncredited translator. Alongside Hopalong and his horse Topper, the strip occasionally crossed over with fellow cowboy Tom Mix, offering a nostalgic slice of pulp-inspired frontier adventure for European readers. This Swedish edition stands as a unique international take on a classic American cowboy franchise.
