About the series
From 1975 to 1976, Charlton Comics brought the animated antics of Hanna-Barbera's canine crime-fighter to the printed page in a nine-issue series. Writers Joe Gill and Bill Crouch Jr., alongside artists Paul Fung Jr. and Frank Roberge, chronicled the adventures of the bumbling janitor Penry Pooch, who transforms into the martial-arts master Hong Kong Phooey.
