About the series
In 2000, DC Comics paired writer Garth Ennis and artist Doug Mahnke for a single-issue crossover that mashed up the supernatural street-level grit of Hitman with the over-the-top intergalactic chaos of Lobo. This one-shot pits the deadpan contract killer Tommy Monaghan against the "Main Man" himself in a violent, foul-mouthed confrontation that only Ennis could orchestrate. A curious footnote in both series’ histories, it’s a brief, unapologetically crude blast of late-‘90s/early-2000s DC black humor.
