Hit-Monkey (MDCU)

In 2010, Marvel introduced the cold-blooded, simian assassin Hit-Monkey in a single-issue debut written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Dalibor Talajić. This one-shot comic follows a Japanese snow monkey who, after witnessing the murder of his troop, is trained by the ghost of a hitman to become a vengeful killer targeting the criminal underworld. Though brief, the issue established a darkly comedic and brutally violent tone that would later inspire a broader multimedia presence for the character. It remains a cult curiosity for its offbeat premise and stylish, bloody artwork.
