Highschool of the Dead

In this German-language edition of the post-apocalyptic zombie horror manga, Carlsen Comics collected the first seven issues of the original Japanese series. Written by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shouji Sato, the story follows a group of high school students and their school nurse as they fight to survive a sudden, violent zombie outbreak that overwhelms Japan. Known for its unflinching gore, frantic action, and fan-service elements, Highschool of the Dead became a cult hit for its blend of survival horror and teen drama. This short run introduced English-speaking readers to the series' intense, high-stakes world before it went on hiatus.
