Heroman

In this five-issue series from Vertical (2012–2013), Tamon Ohta illustrates a manga adaptation of the Stan Lee–conceived superhero story Heroman. The narrative follows a young boy and his toy robot, which is transformed by a mysterious lightning strike into a towering, powerful ally. Ohta's dynamic artwork brings a distinctly Japanese visual sensibility to this cross-cultural collaboration, blending classic American comic heroics with manga storytelling.
