This German-language Hergé Werkausgabe series, published by Carlsen Comics from 1999 to 2002, is a comprehensive 19-issue collection of Hergé’s iconic work. Alongside classic Tim und Struppi adventures featuring Tim, Struppi, Kapitän Haddock, and the detectives Schultze and Schulze, the series includes scholarly essays by Benoît Peeters and Marcel Le Comte, offering context and analysis of Hergé’s art and storytelling. Produced in collaboration with Studio Hergé, it serves as a definitive archival edition for German readers, presenting the master’s oeuvre with both fidelity and critical insight.
