About the series
A Danish anthology series from Interpresse, Helteserien ran for 81 issues between 1959 and 1966, collecting a rotating cast of adventure and superhero characters in a compact, newsstand-friendly format. The series is best remembered for introducing a generation of Danish readers to imported American and British newspaper strips, including the iconic work of Lee Falk on The Phantom and Mandrake the Magician, as well as the crime-fighting exploits of The Saint.
