Hedy De Vine

Hedy De Vine is a two-issue comic series from Bell Features, launched in 1949. The series is best remembered for its titular character, a glamorous and resourceful female adventurer, and for the work of artist and writer Manny Easson, whose lively, expressive style defined the strip. Though brief, Hedy De Vine stands as a notable early example of a Canadian comic featuring a strong, independent heroine during the post-war era.
