Heathcliff's Funhouse
Marvel · 1987–1988 · 10 issues
About the series
From 1987 to 1988, Marvel Comics gave the mischievous orange tabby his own short-lived series, Heathcliff's Funhouse, a 10-issue romp through the slapstick world of the beloved comic strip character. Guided primarily by writers Michael Gallagher and Angelo De Cesare, with energetic art from veterans like Warren Kremer, Howie Post, and Marie Severin, the book expanded Heathcliff's universe with recurring pals Iggy Nutmeg, his grandparents, Sonja, and the perpetually exasperated Mr. Schultz. A playful, all-ages Marvel title from the late Bronze Age, it captured the chaotic charm of the strip while delivering classic comic-book fun.
